Sample Answer 1 for IELTS Speaking Part 2 on ‘Describe a Cool Winter Morning’
Well, I am a lover of nature and enjoy all weather and seasons equally. However, the season that I adore the most is winter. I am an absolute chionophile, and the cool breeze and dew enlivens me. Talking about a winter morning that I pleasantly remember was last year during my winter vacation when I went to a beautiful hill station in Uttarakhand, India.
My friends and I drove all the way from the city where we lived to that hill station that is 265 Km apart from it. Since we all were fatigued and didn’t have the energy left to wake up for even a second more, we dozed off after dinner. After that, I woke up at around 4:30 AM in the morning to see the most beautiful and awaited moment for which I went there, the snowfall. I was besotted by that sight and the snow felt as though cotton candies were falling down over the land. The land was covered with pristine white sheets and looked so alluring that I wanted to jump off the balcony of my room.
I immediately woke my friends up or else they would have missed that ravishing moment. We all then went downstairs and enjoyed the snow, made different castles and snowmen, and hurled snowballs at each other.
Sample Answer 2 for IELTS Speaking Part 2 on ‘Describe a Cool Winter Morning’
Memorable winter mornings in Kashmir were among the highlights of my family vacation last December. It was my first trip to a place with snow and honesty, everything seemed so magical to me. I remember the first morning over there, we were staying in a wooden cottage in Gulmarg which was a favorite hill station with pine trees covered with snow on one side and majestic mountains on the other.
I usually enjoy winter mornings because that silent beauty is just mesmerizing. The world seems soft, quiet, and reflective. I felt as if that morning greeted me with the scene of the landscape where fresh snow was the blanket which was a postcard material. The white dust settled upon the rooftops, roads, and even the trees. The clean air felt refreshing and pure to each breath I took.
What I liked most about the morning was the stillness. It was so silent that I could even hear the snow softly falling. I enjoyed sipping a cup of Kahwa which is the traditional Kashmiri tea, brewed with saffron, almonds, and spices. My favourite moment was holding the warm cup while watching the snowflakes which was one of my life's cherished moments.
