The educational disparity has been there for many years. It has eroded the society in such a way that certain sections of the poor have been remaining illiterate for generations. These communities have been misused for illegal activities. So there are voices from all over the world to reform the education sector. I completely agree that education should be made accessible to all sections of society irrespective of their economic status. In the following paragraphs, I shall put forth my arguments in favour of this opinion.
Many children drop out of schools at a tender age because of their poverty and end up doing menial jobs. A country that is not supportive of educational reforms will cause parents to lose interest in sending their children to schools. So it is mandatory to allocate funds towards the cause of free education. Also, it has been found that students from only certain groups of the society get into professional courses like Engineering and medicine. It is because of their high eligibility criteria and the tuition fee. Poor students are not able to qualify because of the low quality of education they receive and their inability to pay for those courses.
There is a radical change needed in this area. Schools offering free education must not compromise their standards based on the performance of students. Instead, every child should be given individual attention based on their socio-economic status, and teachers must strive to bring those children on par with other privileged students. On successful completion of secondary education, the government should help students pursue courses in the University. Free university education will ensure that every citizen in the country becomes self-sustained to support himself/herself and their dependents.
Considering the value that free tertiary education brings, governments should invest in it, albeit the fact that it is a lot of money.
In summary, free education upto the tertiary level improves the literacy rate of a country. Though some people argue against it, the reforms have to be implemented for eradicating inequalities, which directly helps in the economic development of a country.

The economic and social gap between the various sections of society is increasing day by day. It is quite evident that the underprivileged suffer from a vicious cycle of poverty due to generations of certain households being illiterate. Many argue that education should be provided free of cost to every citizen regardless of their social status. I am a strong supporter of this notion and in the following paragraphs, I will justify my views on the given topic.
In this current era that we live in, education is deemed as a basic necessity for survival, akin to food and shelter. However, this sacred process of learning has been turned into a booming industry by the forces of capitalism. Presently, if an individual wishes to avail the best of educational services, they are invariably required to spend an enormous amount of monetary resources. Naturally, due to financial obstacles, the destitute end up with either no education or are provided with substandard quality of teaching from public schools.
Furthermore, the consequences of limiting education to only those segments of society who can afford it, are not only felt by the poor, but such a system also halts the overall development of the entire nation. This is more evident in third-world countries where a majority of the population is engaged in blue-collar jobs due to the lack of a decent education among the disadvantaged which in turn makes them unsuitable for better-paying employment opportunities.
However, we should also acknowledge the fact that providing costless education will put tremendous strain on public resources which are already overburdened. Nevertheless, the economic, social and political conditions of a country can only be improved when the entire population, irrespective of class, is well-educated.
In conclusion, I believe that education is the door to progress and should be open to all, as the circumstances in which a person is born is beyond their control and everyone deserves a fair opportunity to lead a decent life.
