In this contemporary era, it is evidently seen that advertising is increasingly entering more and more personal areas of our daily lives. While some people believe that the public schools might benefit from additional revenue from advertising boards being established in the schools, another set of people think there are some negative implications that may occur due to this as well. I partially believe that advertisements would not cause major problems and this essay will discuss both perspectives.
First off, there are various reasons on why public schools may use advertising boards to generate more revenue. For example, a school might be without any funds and advertising might be the only option to make additional amounts to fulfill the school’s needs. Moreover, many schools in the village areas do in fact use advertising to improve their budgets.
On the other hand, while advertising might be an easy option for schools to make money, they might also consider other options. There are multiple reasons on why public schools should not use advertising to make more money like, academic integrity might be compromised by advertising within the school campus and as a result, the students may be exploited. Moreover, it is well known that companies often target school students in advertising campaigns that may not be ethical and the effect that advertisement might have on them while in school may have negative consequences like distraction. Hence, this can be avoided in most cases.
In conclusion, this essay discussed the actual reasons on why schools may or may not use advertising to increase revenue. In my opinion, I feel schools should refrain from advertising because the academic reputation should be more important than making additional money

Many people stick to the fact of not putting up ads to raise funds in public schools. This might be because the distraction of pupils could be a significant concern. Moreover, it is usually seen that when developed firms put up some massive and colourful advertisement boards in schools, the students tend to focus more on the advertising, and might keep discussing it with their fellow mates might lower their concentration in their studies. For instance, most businesses that are putting up ads in schools have the notion that the students must notice their merchandise and develop an interest in them.
