Sample Essay 1 on ‘Government Should Focus on Improving the Economy’
Governments worldwide have visions to accomplish and obligations to fulfill, and they strive to achieve their nations’ overall growth for a successful future. As a result, many governments believe that economic advancement is the key to success, while others disagree and believe that other factors, such as health and education initiatives, are more vital. Economic success, in my opinion, can aid a nation’s growth in a variety of ways. In the following paragraphs, I shall discuss my opinion and give supporting reasons.
Economic growth is viewed as a core aim for governments for three reasons. Firstly, a thriving economy leads to job creation, more employment, and higher wages for all individuals. Secondly, economic growth means that governments have more money to spend on infrastructure and public services. A government with a larger income, for example, can invest in the country’s transportation infrastructure, education system, and hospitals. Finally, a robust economy helps improve a country’s worldwide status in terms of political clout and commercial power.
Moreover, economic growth is the most powerful instrument for reducing poverty and improving the quality of life in developing countries. Growth can generate virtuous circles of prosperity and opportunity. Strong growth and employment opportunities improve incentives for parents to invest in their children’s education by sending them to school. This may lead to the emergence of a strong and growing group of entrepreneurs, which should generate pressure for improved governance.
The predominant drawback of putting the entire impetus on bettering an economy is that it provides minimal or no benefits to the lower strata of society. It has been seen that countries that focus not only on increasing per capita GDP but also on improving the quality of life for their citizens end up having a significantly superior economy in the long run.
To conclude, even though economic progress has failed to secure a better standard for citizens. It proves that only economic progress should not be the vision of a government. However, without economic stability, a government cannot make certain advancements in education, defense, healthcare, international trade and social safety.

Sample Essay 2 on ‘Government Should Focus on Improving the Economy’
Many believe that governments should focus on the future generations to take part in both the official curriculum as well as in extracurricular classes to improve the economy. In my opinion, this practice could be helpful to a certain degree as it might also result in negative impacts on the health and communication skills of the individuals.
On the one hand, such a policy contributes to society in terms of producing useful and versatile individuals. With ample study time, students get the opportunity to learn more subjects which would help them to acquire more skills and help in the society's development. For instance, the society that needs to tackle food issues will require people from the fields of culinary technology and biology. Moreover, excellent graduates will also attract a large number of job offerings as soon as they graduate. In particular, students graduating with remarkable degrees will have a good competitive edge over the future employers. Therefore, the competition in the market would become tougher as a degree would become the standard for the job seekers. Thus, governments must focus on improving the skill-set of the natives.
On the contrary, excessive studying has an adverse effect on the health of students which can affect them physically and mentally. Due to this, many people tend to study in poorly lit rooms or staying too long in front of the computer screen which will make an individual become myopic and also develop other eye problems. Moreover, students may lack the chances of making new friends and meeting other people from different places. To make things worse, they would become isolated with very few interpersonal skills such as public speaking and teamwork.
To conclude, allowing students to learn for a better economic growth is crucial for which governments should focus on this area. However, the policy will lead to an unequal distribution of young people's development if learning is the only activity that takes up all their time.
