Sample Essay
People’s lives have undergone a real revolution in the last decades as a result of new technologies, and the education sector is no exception. The use of computers in education has become inevitable, but some feel that teachers are no longer important in classrooms. According to me there will never be a substitute for a teacher, no matter how much technology is used. Throughout the following paragraphs, I will attempt to support my points of view.
In our education system, teachers are still considered a vital component. We may be able to process a large amount of data, assess our exam papers more accurately, or stay connected to the world through technology. However, computers can not teach discipline, morality, and time management. Teachers are needed to break down academic and personal life into manageable pieces for students, and they can serve as great mentors. As a result, they are unique in their role of evaluating us in life and guiding us accordingly.
For practice and learning of more complex ideas, the computer is not always an adequate tool. Despite being capable of evaluating whether an answer is right or wrong, a computer cannot determine why. Students cannot understand important concepts by investigating their errors and by representing them differently. Students cannot tell at which stage they have made an error. Human teachers are indispensable in classrooms where these circumstances apply. It is impossible for a computer to modify lesson plans, give feedback, or act spontaneously in a classroom as a human teacher does.
Some argue that computers with internet access can provide a lot of information to a student, whereas teachers are likely to be experts in certain areas. However, individualized instruction or demonstrating real-life examples can boost student engagement which can’t be done by computers.
In conclusion, teachers play a vital role in shaping the lives of individuals by ensuring that they are better citizens. As a result, the importance of teachers in education can’t be underestimated.
