Describe Your Ideal House - Sample Answer 1
People generally have lots of dreams and mind maps about their home and it is one of the most common ambitions people have. Now, being a thalassophile that I am, I want my house to be near a sea, where I can catch a glimpse of the sea every day. Hence, any coastal area would do the requite for me. I am pretty innovative when it comes to planning my house and therefore, I’m not too fond of a banal and ordinary house to live in as far as having a dream house is concerned.
I would want my house to be digitally facilitated with beautiful graphic wall design that could be customized as per my desire and need. Moreover, I am not into very gigantic or magnificent kinds of houses and would like to have a medium-sized house. Structurally, I always wanted to live in a dome-shaped house that is not something one gets to see often and I am okay to have it even at the expense of people considering it as recherche or weird.
Talking about the number of people it could accommodate, I am okay with it being commodious for 11-12 people. However, I would prefer my drawing room and hall to be quite palatial as I always like it to be that way. At times, in case I would hold a party, the hall shouldn’t at least be small or discomforting for a good number of people.
This would be my ideal house because it represents both comfort and tranquillity. It would serve as a retreat where I could unwind after a busy day and spend quality time with my loved ones in a harmonious environment.

Describe Your Ideal House - Sample Answer 2
If I were to design my ideal house, I would want it to be located near a scenic coastal area with a breathtaking sea view. I have always dreamed of waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunrise over the horizon. Living close to nature truly recharges my batteries and gives me a sense of inner peace. In today’s fast-paced world, having a home away from the chaos of city life would feel like a breath of fresh air and allow me to let my hair down after a long day.
In terms of design, the house would be moderately spacious, striking a perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. Architecturally, it would be a seamless blend of modern minimalism and traditional charm. I would love wooden flooring, large glass windows for natural light, and high ceilings to create an airy ambience. The open-plan kitchen connected to the dining area would become the heart and soul of the house, where family conversations flow effortlessly. I would also include a small terrace garden with herbs and flowering plants, which would not only promote sustainable living but also help me stay grounded and connected to nature.
Ideally, the house should comfortably accommodate five to six people, including my parents and my future family. I would also make sure there is a cozy guest room, because I enjoy having friends and relatives over. After all, happiness doubles when shared, and I want my home to always be open to loved ones.
Ultimately, this house would be much more than bricks and mortar. It would be my personal sanctuary, a place where I could find my peace of mind, nurture my ambitions, and create lifelong memories. For me, an ideal house is not about luxury alone; it is about building a space filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Describe Your Ideal House - Sample Answer 3
My ideal house would be located in a peaceful suburban area surrounded by lush greenery, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I have always believed that home should be a place where you can truly get away from it all. At the same time, I wouldn’t want it to be completely isolated; it should still be within easy reach of essential facilities so that life remains convenient and well-balanced.
In terms of design, I envision a contemporary two-story home with large glass windows that flood the interiors with natural light. The spacious layout would create an open and airy atmosphere, making the house feel welcoming rather than cramped. I imagine a small garden at the front filled with seasonal flowers and a balcony that offers a panoramic view of nature. That balcony, in particular, would be my favorite spot, where I could sip a cup of coffee and simply watch the world go by. The interiors would follow a minimalistic yet elegant theme, because I strongly believe that less is more when it comes to home design. Modern furnishings combined with subtle décor would add sophistication without making the space feel overwhelming.
Ideally, the house would accommodate four to five people, including my immediate family. Each member would have a separate bedroom to ensure privacy and personal space. There would be a cosy living room where we could gather in the evenings and share stories, because family time helps us stay connected through thick and thin. I would also include a quiet study area where I could focus on my work without distractions and truly keep my head down when needed.
Overall, this house would represent comfort, balance, and tranquillity. It would not just be a physical structure but a private retreat, a place where I could unwind in peace, create cherished memories, and feel completely at home in every sense of the word.
