I recently bought a smartwatch from Noise, which has always been a dream of mine. When I learned about these smartwatches, which are available at an affordable price, I became very excited. The smart watch I bought named ‘Noise Colorfit Grand’ was just recently announced and I’ve pre-booked it from the official website, because of which I was able to purchase it at a launch price.

From the day I ordered it, I was restless about its delivery. I was not there at my home when they delivered it and I was eager to reach my home to have a look at it. Once I received it, I found myself proud as I have witnessed this smartwatch in many professionals like doctors, engineers etc., which I visited in the past few weeks. It has also added to my excitement about buying this smartwatch.

The smartwatch is packed with a bundle of features and I find it amazing how a small gadget such as this is loaded with such an ensemble of functions. I tried most of the features and even now, there are still a lot more features to be tried on. The coolest feature I find about it is that we can capture photos with a tap on the smartwatch once we pair it with our smartphone. Now I use it when doing my walks to keep track of my steps and the calories I burned during the day. It made me trust in myself as this device has made my life a bit more organized with its notification alerts. I believe I am more connected to my contacts now, which was the main complaint I faced from my family as the smartwatch helped me with it.

Recently, I have moved to another city for further studies and better job opportunities. As a result, my parents had to buy a few things that would make my life easier when I juggle between classes and interviews. One of the important things is a microwave so that I can heat my food quickly or even prepare food or bake during my free time.

After checking the reviews and comparing prices of a few models on various online portals, we found out that buying online will cost us less than buying in stores. So, we ordered it on Amazon as my father had the Prime subscription and the delivery will be fast. The microwave oven costs around 11,000 INR as my father got some extra discounts on his card.

Recently, I bought a colour set from Faber Castell consisting of acrylic paints, brushes, sketch pencils, crayons, pencil watercolors. I have been saving money for a long time, and I have finally been able to buy this after giving up junk foods and most, importantly, shopping.

A month before the lockdown was announced, I had visited New Market because my mother had to buy a few ingredients for her bakery business. As I was looking for the required items in the complex, I saw the set in a shop. My mother knew how I had been sacrificing a lot for that set. So, we entered the shop and asked for the price. It cost around 600 rupees, but my mother insisted on bargaining and got it for 500 rupees. I was thrilled and used the extra hundred rupee note on buying art sheets. Therefore, besides buying some essentials, we also ended up buying this luxury item.

Being an introvert, I like to spend my free time in art and sketches.   Whenever I am sad or emotionally drained, I prefer sitting with my sketchbooks. Every stroke of colour or pencil helps me to overcome my negative emotions. Each emotion depicts different pictures and colours on the sheet. If you are sad, using a dark and gloomy palette works and when I feel content, I prefer a happy palette. Every colour has its own impact and healing power. I bought them to enhance my skills, but now, it aids me to take my mind off the unending chain of affected patients and wrongs happening to the world during this lockdown as I knew that a gentle stroke of my paintbrush could do that magic.
