Paraphrase the topic by using various synonyms. People are interested in knowing the past of their buildings and the houses they live in.
Body paragraphs
Paragraph 1 – Mention the reasons why people try to know the past of the building they live in. Many buildings had served an alternate purpose, like a hospital, during the World Wars. Also, talk about how some people want the integrity of the structure examined, hence want to know about the building’s past.
Paragraph 2 – Talk about the means through which the people can get the information they seek. Explain how archives can help them, and how experts like historians and architects can also be of assistance.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is a good thing that people are trying to get in touch with the history of their building’s past, and it is possible this will grow.

As people are exposed to new knowledge, their curiosity invariably peaks. As a result, they search for new information, and nowadays people want to get to know about the history of their building and house that they live in.
People are interested in knowing the past, and many buildings have a previously significant purpose. For example, many buildings in Europe have some historic significance as they served as medical camps or recruitment points during the World Wars. Also, people might be interested in knowing the materials their building is made of to know whether it can withstand future modifications, or if it is in need of repairs and maintenance.
One could know about their building’s history by approaching the archives that hold their original blueprints. Usually, every city has a centre which holds such documents. Another way is getting in touch with an expert who can be a historian or an architect to narrate the type or architectural design utilised in building the structure. For example, if the building is constructed with the Indo-Saracenic style, it may have been constructed in the 1800’s by the British.
To conclude, trying to get to know the history of a building is a wonderful initiative being taken up by people in some countries. With the availability of the means of getting the information they seek, it is possible that this trend will only grow.

Meaning – Indo-Saracenic architecture was a revivalist architectural style mostly used by British architects in India in the 19th century.
Example – The Victoria Memorial is an example of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture.
- Initiative
Meaning – the power or opportunity to act or take charge before others do.
Example – He took the initiative to lead the group

Buildings are of historical significance and in some countries, a lot of peoples are beginning to be interested about the history of the building they occupy. This essay will give reasons for this curiosity and offer few ways in which people can investigate this.
They are many reasons why people will want to know the history of their houses. First and foremost they will want to know the materials used in making the building so as to ascertain whether the building can withstand future changes and repairs when the need arise. Secondly some buildings in the past have significant history as they might have been used as worship center or medical centers during the war, knowing these gives one a sense of purpose and fulfilment.
They are various method one can find out about the history associated with their building. One major way is through history books, records such as the initial plans and original mappings of different building are well documented, hence this can be sorted to know some history of a building. Another approach is by oral histories and stories passed down from generations to generations. Further more questions can be asked from previous occupant of the structures.
In conclusion, knowing the origin and the story of properties one lives is good and welcome development. Therefore, efforts should be made to ensure more and proper documentation of buildings and such documents should be readily available to the public.

Concentrate on the correct usage of articles, subject verb agreement, preposition and punctuation.
Pay attention to spellings and use of appropriate words in a sentence.
The word count is low at 240. It has to be a minimum of 250 words.
Use C2 level of words.
