Sample Essay
Most parents send their children to boarding schools at a very young age, even though some prefer to hunt for a reputed institution closer to their locality. Although having young people study as day scholars tend to have a healthier diet, in my opinion, sending them to a hostel will make them independent relatively quicker. This essay will explain why it is far more beneficial to put youth in schools farther from their town/city as compared to holding them back at their place of residence.
Studies show that youngsters who have graduated from institutes by staying away from their homes tend to be better at decision-making than those who attended classes daily on their transport. Being away from near ones and forced to take every decision on their own pushes young people towards independence and makes them learn from life lessons rather than merely rely on their parents.
Moreover, the fact that choices these kids make are less likely to be influenced by a second person, unlike the kids who have the option to take their parents’ opinion. Sometimes, parents or elders tend to force their decisions on the young ones, leading to frustration and failure at a later age. As a result, since hostlers do not have that pressure, they tend to have the upper hand over the day scholars at studies.
On the contrary, the quality of edibles the inhabitants of a hostel consume is very low, whereas freshly cooked food by their mothers is highly nutritious. Studies show that people consuming hostel food are 67% more prone to food poisoning than those that consume home-cooked meals. Because of this, many parents are reluctant to put their child’s health at risk. However, studying away from home has become increasingly common because of the sense of freedom and adventure that accompanies this life.
While there are downsides to it, I firmly believe that these hardships eventually contribute to the individuals’ personal growth, making their time away from their homes more advantageous than disadvantageous.
