Sample Answer
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am gratified to find your email this morning to have known that I have been selected as a business administrator in your organization. I am really thankful to you for having considered me worthy of this position that I am looking forward to. However, I won’t be able to assume this position as of the mentioned date.
Actually, my current employment term with the organization I have been working with doesn’t permit me for early relieving. Therefore, it shall be incumbent upon me to serve the organization with a prior notice period of 2 weeks. Hence I shall not be able to join the company before the notice period ends.
Therefore, I would humbly request you to delay the starting date of this position by two weeks, and I assure you that I will be joining the organization exactly two weeks after the date of joining indicated in the offer letter.
Yours sincerely,
Prakhar Panchbhaiya
