OET Result Made Simple: What You Need to Know
Although preparation is a crucial part of exam-taking, the result declaration and final score are equally vital. It helps you to get an entry into one of your institutions or organization for work or study, respectively. Hence, in this article, you will get an overview of the OET results, which is vital evidence of your English proficiency when you seek a job in the healthcare sector in an English-speaking country.
Medical organisations all around the world approve the Occupational Eligibility Exam to determine whether a candidate possesses the basic English abilities required to practise medicine in an English-speaking country. The exam consists of four sections: listening, writing, reading, and speaking. Thus, it is comparable to the IELTS.
Let us begin with a quick recap of the OET subtests.
Information on the Subtests

Paper OET results will be available three weeks after the test. For the online version of OET, the results are made available online approximately 16 working days after the test. The Statements of Results are distributed within 5 business days of the results being published online.

Validity
Many test participants mistakenly believe that their OET test results are only valid for two years. This isn’t totally correct. The Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment Trust (CBLA) – the conducting body of the OET test – does not decide OET validity, like other language proficiency tests, but rather the regulatory agencies that will require your OET scores do.
The OET official website does not specify how long the OET exam is valid. Candidates must inquire with the relevant authorities (e.g., boards and councils, government departments) that recognise the OET exam concerning the validity period of the OET results.
Rechecking the OET results
If you suspect your sub-test results are incorrect, you can seek a re-mark on one or more of them. Requests for re-marking must be made within 5 days of your results being published online by completing the Request for OET Remarking Form. If your sub-test grade(s) change as a result of your appeal, your re-marking and appeal fees will be fully returned.
Obtaining extra copies of OET exam results
You can order an additional OET Statement of Results by logging in to the OET website with your username and password, selecting Candidate Information, and clicking on Statement of Results. Every additional Statement of Results will cost AUD $35.00 and take up to two weeks to post.
Steps to check the OET Result online
You will be given a Statement of Results, which will display your score on a scale of 0 to 500 for each of the four sub-tests. Conclusion
Healthcare professionals prefer OET because it allows them to demonstrate that they have the appropriate level of English for work or study while also learning the type of language they will require on a daily basis at work. Moreover, health regulators in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the Maldives, Malta, Namibia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America accept OET as proof of English language ability.
Thus, a good OET result will open doors of opportunity for you around the world!
