- What is it?
Science has made an immense contribution in uplifting human society. Science is not just a subject but plays an important role in every aspect of our lives. There are various branches of science, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- What did you learn from it?
It is only through science that we are able to know about the diseases and it’s cure. Well, the subject in which I was interested was Biology.
- When did you become interested in it?
My science teacher was exceptionally knowledgeable who took classes in an interactive manner. She introduced me to Biology. The subject usually deals with living organisms and their vital processes, and it gives in-depth knowledge and understanding of the natural world.
- Explain how this area of science help you
The human body is a piece of amazing machinery, and I am very keen to know about the human body and its facts. Every living thing inculcates different biological systems and functions. And some of the biological facts just blow our minds. I hope to become a biology professor one day.

- What is it?
Back in school, I preferred other subjects more than science until I reached the 10th standard. This was the time when the subject began intriguing me with its in-depth knowledge. Out of all the three branches, I was more inclined towards chemistry.
- What did you learn from it?
In chemicals, varying elements and reactions fascinated me to no extent. On top of that, the way our Chemistry teacher – Mr Singh – taught all of the concepts made the subject even more hooking and effortless. Our teachers helped us grasp shortcuts and tricks to learn the periodic table in sequence. And then, I also learned the use of several chemical components in industries, such as sodium, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, and more.
- When did you become interested in it?
I started becoming more interested in Chemistry the moment I realised that we somehow use all of these concepts in our daily lives. For instance, to make scrumptious dishes, we mix an array of ingredients in measured proportions. This is a type of Chemistry only. Moreover, every medical drug is a composition of several chemical components, whether in a solid form or a liquid form.

Chemistry has also helped me in a variety of ways. To begin with, it has helped me choose a stream for my career. The interesting concepts have ignited a feeling in me to become a scientist. Thus, I am going to pursue this subject in higher studies as well.

- What is it?
To tell you the truth, I am not very much intrigued by science, especially chemistry and physics. However, I like the concepts of biology.
- What did you learn from it?
In fact, I find it an exciting subject as it uncovers the deep discoveries about the human body, plants and animals.
- When did you become interested in it?
I vividly remember that I was in 10th standard when I developed a sudden interest in this subject. I used to read many books and ask for notes from my class teachers to understand profoundly. Not just that, I also used to conduct internet research to satiate my hunger for knowledge.
I believe that the internet is an outstanding source to learn a practical subject as it offers different forms of learning. Whenever textbooks bored me, I used to watch videos on YouTube to easily understand challenging topics.
- Explain how this area of science help you
Another reason why I like this subject is that it teaches me a plethora of things about my body. This way, I get to know how I can adequately maintain my physical and mental health. In addition to this, I also get to learn how to look after flora and fauna.
Because of this, I am successful in growing varying trees and flowers in my home garden. I also have a pet dog named Buddy, whom I look after very well now that I am familiar with the anatomy of dogs.
