Sample Answer 1
- where this place was
Educational trips are a common phenomenon during school life. Many of us have atleast a few experiences of going on an educational trip or excursion. I have been on many educational trips during middle school and also during high school on some occasions. A school excursion that I particularly remember was when our class visited the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore. Tagore’s ancestral home is famously known as the Jorashakor Thakur Bari, which is in the northern part of Kolkata.
- what you did at this place
- who you went there with
This trip was an educational excursion for the students of class 8. The primary agenda of this trip was to individually collect information for a project on Rabindranath Tagore that we were assigned for the final term. We were divided into groups of 10, and each group had a coordinator. We explored the different parts of Jorashakor Thakur Bari and discovered lots of new information that we did not know about Rabindranath Tagore.
The trip mainly consisted of some of our teachers and almost all the students from class 8. Other staff members were also present on this educational trip to aid the teachers in organizing and conducting the excursion without any hiccups.
- and explain why you thought this trip was educational.
I believe that this school excursion was an educational experience since we learned quite a lot during the trip. We discovered numerous new facts about Rabindranath Tagore and his life that are not part of History textbooks. We also learned about the other family members of the Jorashakor Thakur Bari, which is also information that is not available in most school curriculums.

- where this place was
The most memorable educational trip I’ve been to is to Ninh Binh province. The place is well known for the beauty and peace of the scenery as well as the history of the Emperor who once set capital there.
- what you did at this place
- who you went there with
This place is located near Hanoi, which is Vietnam’s current capital, about 60 kilometers away from the south. This province is popular for both domestic and foreign tourists. Among the most notable tourism attractions, Trang An – an impressive natural combination between river and mountain, making a breathtaking scenery, is the most famous. It used to be referred as “Ha Long Bay on the land”. Another famous place in Ninh Binh is Hoa Lư Imperial – which was built in Dinh dynasty in Vietnam, at the time when Ninh Binh was set as the capital of our country.
- and explain why you thought this trip was educational.
Admittedly, the trip to Ninh Binh was very interesting to me, and informative as well. During the trip, I was educated about Vietnam history, especially in Dinh dynasty’s time, and the geographical features of this place.
