Japan is a country that interests me the most. Mainly because of her scenic beauty with trees and leaves and houses shaped like pagodas are all the things that made me close to this country. The most interesting fact is that the Hollywood movies shot in Japan that I watched made me want to visit the country.

I still remember the first time in my high school classes that there used to be stories about Japanese paper art in the form of origami characters. I become attached to this country’s industrial power with the toys they make that are of astounding quality. Needless to say, Japanese architecture in the form of buildings that can withstand tsunamis and earthquakes is a thing through which Japan has proved their potential.

Another thing that strikes is the mindset of the people of Japan, who witnessed the greatest tragedy the world has ever witnessed. The nuclear bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was the strong willpower of the people of Japan that remade the country back to an economic power within a few years after the incident. Japan is the land of my dreams and I am hoping I can visit it someday.

As a travel enthusiast, I love exploring new surroundings, discovering new people, and learning about different cultures, as it gives me a different perspective towards life. However, travelling has now become difficult for me due to work commitments. So, here I’d like to talk about a country that fascinates me the most.

Canada is one of the countries which I desperately want to visit. Unequivocally, it is one of the most amazing countries globally because of its fast-growing economy and high standard of living. I marvel at its multicultural environment, the sheer beauty of the breathtaking landscapes, awe-inspiring scenery, and the incredible Niagara Falls. Moreover, the country is home to some of the best ski fields, deepest lakes, longest hiking trails, highest peaks, and most spectacular waterfalls.

Apart from that, I have heard that the vibrant Vancouver in Canada is one of the popular holiday destinations, where sailing, sledding, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and skiing are remarkably popular activities. Although I’ve been planning to visit Canada for more than a year now and ironically, my attempt to visit the country is being delayed due to the pandemic, I’ve firmly decided to visit the country once I’m doubly vaccinated at the end of this year as I don’t want to miss the experiencing the Canadian winters and snowfall.

To be honest, I have been intending to visit Canada to witness its rich, ingenious culture, laid-back lifestyle of Canadians, experience the snowy mountains and cold winters, enjoy watching the exceptional Northern lights above the horizon, and above all, I surely don’t want to miss visiting the thunderous Niagara Falls.

A: The tourism industry in Turkey plays a significant role not only during peak hours but also in practically every other season. In a nutshell, tourism constitutes an integral part of the national economy. Being home to the incredible Mediterranean coastline, impressive architectural mosques, and stunning natural scenery, Turkey has become one of the popular tourist destinations. Over the years, the Turkish government has built some excellent tourist amenities throughout the years, including international airports, multispecialty hospitals, a diverse selection of hotels, motels, restaurants, recreation areas, caravans, souvenir shops, seasonal stores, and more.

Apart from introducing tourist facilities, the Turkish government allows tourists to work part-time to acquire an income during their stay. Simultaneously, the country’s economy also gets developed. However, on the other hand, there are some negative environmental consequences such as over-consumption of natural resources, especially in places where resources are already scarce. In addition, the use of transportation contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, producing pollution in the environment.

A: It is irrefutable that the tourism industry plays an indispensable part in a country’s economy, bringing numerous benefits and advantages. Apart from boosting the revenue of the country’s economy, the tourism sector creates thousands of jobs for the unemployed, develops infrastructural facilities, and fosters a sense of cultural exchange between tourists and citizens. In addition, the tourism industry impacts GDP growth, stimulates natural resource conservation, and protects the environment.

Q: What do you think about the function of tourist guides?

A: A tourist guide is an individual who accompanies groups of visitors/ travellers to explore tourist attractions, whether on day trips or more extended visits, and provides them with the information and insights of a historical attraction. They also help tourists understand their culture, customs, tradition, and heritage. In addition, tour guides offer many services such as entertaining the tourists, answering their questions/queries, translating language, planning travel itineraries, familiarizing them with the locality, and sharing relevant information with them.
