Our country is our greatest pride. We are always thankful for everything it provides to us. Our country is our identity. We can tell a lot about a person only by knowing about the nation they belong to.

This is going to be an easy topic as we will have a lot to say. Anyone can speak about the country they belong to, so having lots of points to speak might not be the greatest advantage here, rather you have to excel in grammar and vocabulary.

Given below are some vocabulary that you might put into use

Noun:

WORDS MEANING USES
Unbelievable rate  a surprising or shocking speed The country’s population is rising at an unbelievable rate.
High-rise buildings tall skyscrapers, apartments or office blocks Our cities are packed with high-rise buildings because of the steadily growing population.
Gentrification the process of renovating and improving a house or district so that it conforms to middle-class taste. Villages have undergone rapid gentrification over the past few years.
The high street  the main street of a town, especially as the traditional site for most shops, banks, and other businesses.
The festive season generally boosts the high streets of some parts of the country.

Adjective:

Up to date –
modern and relevant
Multicultural – relating to or containing several cultural or ethnic groups within a society.
Commonplace –
normal, expected, popular or typical
Diverse –  showing a great deal of variety; very different.

You have to put extra effort to score a high band on this topic. You have to make your answer sound attractive and different. For this purpose, you can use several phrases and collocations. For example

  • There have been significant changes in the price of petrol during the last few years in the country.
  • There has been a notable change in the price of petrol during the past years in the county.

Here both the sentences are correct but the second one sounds more attractive and hence it can help you get a good score.
